ABCs of MOTIVATION, THE HEART OF SELF IMPROVEMENT
A - Action. Take action to create the life you want. Avoid negative people, things and places. Achieve your dreams. Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
B - Believe in yourself, and in what you can do.
C – Consider every angle and aspect of a situation. Motivation comes from determination. Once you have conceived the solution, take action.
D – Determination. Don’t give up and don’t give in. Thomas Edison failed over and over again before he came up with his invention and perfected the incandescent light bulb.
E – Enjoy life. Work as if you don’t need money. Dance as if nobody’s watching. Love as if you never cried. Learn as if you’ll live forever. Motivation is easier when you are happy.
F – Family and Friends – are life’s greatest ‘F’ treasures. Don’t lose sight of them.
G – Give more than what is expected.
H – Hang on to your dreams. These little stars will be your driving force.
I – Ignore those who try to destroy you. Don’t let other people to get the best of you. Stay away from toxic people – the kind of friends who hates to hear about your success and only wants to talk about their failures..
J – Joy. Experience joy in some form everyday.
K – keep trying no matter how hard life may seem. Take one step at a time, putting one foot in front of the other, one day at a time.
L – Learn to love yourself. Sometimes this may be difficult, but look at things you do well, ask people what they like about you and really listen to what they say.
M – Maintain your momentum. Make things happen. Motivation is putting your dreams into work clothes.
N – Never lie, cheat or steal. .
O – Optimism -look for the positive in every situation..
P – Positivism. Practice makes perfect. Prepare for your future.
Q – Quitters never win. And winners never quit. Get started now.
R – Regrets - get rid of them. Ready yourself to move forward.
S – Smile. It is amazing how much a smile can change your day and also other people's days. Share your smile with everyone you meet.
T – Thoughts. Take control of your thoughts and you take control of your life.
U – Understand others. Seek first to understand and then to be understood.
V – Visualize what you want for your life. Really visualize ALL of it - what you want, what you need.
W – Want it more than anything. If you want it enough, you will achieve it.
X – X-tra The "X Factor" is what will make you different from the others. When you are motivated, you tend to find time for “extras” in your life like extra time for family, extra help at work, extra care for friends, and so on.
Y – YOU are unique. No one in this world looks, acts, or talks like you. Value your life and existence.
Z – Zero in on your dreams and go for it!!!
To your personal success

What Innovation Can Do to Your Life
If you've ever marvelled at somebody's creative prowess, guess what, you can create and innovate too. It just takes time. Everyone is born creative. The box of crayons in kindergarten were not limited to those who possessed potential; because the truth is, everybody has potential.
You know how long it took to learn to ride a bike or drive or to learn a new habit? It's the same with innovation. It takes a bit of practice and a lot of time before this mind function comes easily when called. This article will provide you with a few tips on how to bring innovation into your life.
First of all, follow the beat of your own drum. Allowing for the input of other people will only bring cacophony to the music you are trying to make. If you have an original idea, don't waste your time and effort trying to make people understand. They won't. And the "so-called help" you will get probably will come in the form of negative feedback. If all the geniuses listened to their peers, we would probably still be living in the middle ages.
Spend time on it. Exercise. Take a walk. Run a mile or two. Send all those endorphins coursing through your veins. Exercising certainly clears and relaxes your mind and allows for anything to pop up.
Record your dreams. Aren't some of them just the craziest things that your conscious mind would never have thought of? If you've had these dreams before, and I'm sure have, this only shows you the untapped innovative power you have lying within. So jot down those notes. Those dreams may just create an innovative spark in you.
Find your own style. You can always tell a Van Gogh from a Matisse. You'll know Hemingway wrote something by the choice of words on the paper. So it is the same with you. People will appreciate your innovation more because it is uniquely yours and that no one else would have thought of what you were thinking. That will let people see how valuable an asset you are.
Don't hide behind nifty gadgets or tools. You don't need the most expensive set of paints to produce a masterpiece. The same way with writing. You don't need some expensive fountain pen and really smooth paper for a bestseller. In fact, J.K. Rowling wrote the first book of the Harry Potter Series on bits of tissue. So what if you've got an expensive SLR camera if you're a crappy photographer? Who cares if you've got a blinging laptop if you can't write at all? The artist actually reduces the number of tools he has as he gets better at his craft: he knows what works and what doesn't.
And remember, nothing will work without passion.
What wakes you up in the mornings?
What keeps the flame burning?
What is the one thing that you'll die if you don't do?
Sometimes people with talent are overtaken by the people who want it more. Think the hare and the tortoise. Ellen Degeneres once said that if you're not doing something that you want to do, then you don't really want to do it. And that's true. Sometimes you just want something so badly you become a virtual unstoppable. And that is passion. Passion will keep you going.
Don't worry about inspiration. You can't force it; inspiration hits when you least expect it to, for those unpredictable yet inevitable moments you should prepare. An idea could strike you on the subway, yet alas, you poor unfortunate soul; you have no sheet of paper to scribble down a thought that could change the world. Avoid these disasters. Have a pen and paper within your arm's reach at all times.
I hope this article has helped you bring more innovation into your life. Keep in mind that you're doing these things for your own satisfaction and not anybody else's. But soon enough they will notice, and everything should snowball from there.
Remember... you are unique. There is no one in this world quite like you. No one capable of doing or being like you. Step forward along your unique path to your unique future.

Valuing Minutes
Yesterday I attended an online conference with Janet Legere and she talked about segmented intention. Paying attention to what you are doing and intending it to be successful.
This morning I pulled my daily quote from my tin and it said, "With this dawn, this new day, I value each minute."
I was taken back to my recent Time Management Workshop where I shared with the participants the value of time - 1440 minutes in a day.
Wasting 15 minutes a day works out to 91 hours per year. What could you do with those 91 hours?
If we read an average of 12 pages a day (about 15 minutes) we could read 17-18 books per year. We can learn a new task, become an expert in our field of study, or upgrade our education.
We could exercise and stay in shape while tuning up our heart. 15 minutes 3 times a week will maintain a healthy body.
We could spend the time in personal meditation or spiritual contemplation to bring balance to our lives.
We could devote 15 minutes of quality time to someone we care about. We could choose a different person each day. We could write a letter, send a card, make a phone call or a personal visit. We could sit down with someone and ask them a question and really listen to their answer.
Take a few minutes to think about how you spend your time and how you could spend it better.
Do some tasks that take only 5-15 minutes and feel good about having accomplished something.
Plan your day to include small tasks as well as large tasks, write down what you intend to accomplish - you will have a much better chance of succeeding.
To your successful day!!

Beginnings
**********************************

*********************************
In one of James Allen's lesser known books, Byways of Blessedness, he devotes the entire first chapter to beginnings. He writes, "Most beginnings are small, and appear trivial and insignificant, but in reality they are the most important things in life."
Without a beginning you could have the greatest idea and the greatest plan in the world and you would still fail. Whereas a modest idea and an incomplete plan often produces success when accompanied by even an "insignificant" beginning.
"Beginning" is just another way to describe the most powerful six-letter word in the vocabulary of achievers: A-C-T-I-O-N. Hugely successful people, the kind who go from mediocre to millions almost overnight, know that the major key to their success was taking MASSIVE ACTION. When Jeff Bezos decided to start Amazon.com, he left his job on the East Coast and headed to Washington State. He had his wife drive him and their belongings across the country so that he could stay on the phone constantly, convincing potential investors and vendors why Amazon would be a success.
Even the smallest of actions, the ones James Allen called trivial and insignificant, can lead to great success. Sir Isaac Newton's principle that a "body at rest tends to remain at rest and a body in motion tends to remain in motion," definitely applies to the action principle. Once you've taken the first step (even a baby step), the next steps seem easier to take.
What is preventing you from taking your first step?
Find out how to overcome your stumbling blocks
- Build unshakable levels of self-esteem and self-confidence

Ultimate Success Program
*****************************
Looking for Ultimate Success? Click here
*****************************
I'd like to let you know about something I've been up
to over the last year, and it's open to only a few more
people who are positive and success-minded.
Here's what others who are already in the program
have to say:
The neatest thing is that I am starting to think differently.
I am seeing and recognizing the failure attitudes and actions
that up to now I was engaging in unconsciously. I guess I
unknowingly trained myself to turn a blind eye to these
attitudes and actions so I didn't have to take responsibility
for my own success.
The thing that has really made the difference for me with the
USP is that instead of reading a book and skipping the
exercises, I am actually writing out the answers to the
questions and taking the time to think about how to put what
I am learning into action.
Thanks Mark. This is really starting to pay off.
- - -
I am more self confident, more successful, with a can do
attitude an I do not let the negativity of others bring me
down. I start everyday with positive reinforcement and focus
on the good things in my life. I have developed more of an
attitude of gratitude and am less selfish and more giving.
I have become more focused and more self motivated to
complete all tasks that need to be accomplished in my work.
- - -
I don't procrastinate as much and I am less fearful of
failing. I am moving forward and less fearful of trying new
things.
- - -
I have always lived with the sense that I wasn't there on
the day the manual of how things work was handed out to
those around me. I have now discovered that part of this
lies in several holes in my thinking which neither my
parents nor my schools were able to teach to me. My current
experiences thus far did not help me to understand either.
By becoming aware of these holes through the USP program,
I am more able to:
* see opportunity and assess whether it fits with my big
reason why.
* be more relaxed around people, as I am more in control
of my own thoughts.
* work more organized meaning I get more done with the
same hours as everyone else.
* become more focused & concentrated mentally, allowing me
to better workshop ideas and concepts inside my head
before capturing them on paper.
* I've become strangely more excited about life in general.
* I have become more choosy with how I spend my time.
- - -
You can read all about the program and read even more
comments from others who are already involved here:

My Purpose
I have been online for aout 10 years now. I have experimented with online marketing, downloaded ebooks that promise me I will make loads of money if only I..., maxed out my credit cards to pay for this information, spent hours and hours downloading and reviewing "free" information from the many givewaways I participated in. I have felt guilty about the amount of time I have spent doing this, the time I have spent reading and sorting the many emails I have received, trying to decide what to keep and what to trash, who is offering what this week, how can I make some money from this.
I read something this week that really struck home with me. Funnily enough it was a book about MLM Marketing, but with a difference. One thing the author said was that you should never promote a product you haven't tried. If you don't know how it works, how can you tell anyone else about its benefits. I'm sure you, like me, have received multiple emails with the same heading and the same wording - affiliates who are promoting a product they know nothing about. I too have been guilty.
The other thing the author talked about was building relationships. That took me back to the reason I wanted to get involved online, to build relationships with people, to share the knowledge and skill that I had gained to help them in their daily lives. I had even taken a coaching course to allow me to do this and yet I wasted all this time running from one program to another, one traffic exchange to another, only to become exhausted and return to my real passion.
Now is the time to go back to the beginning. To get out the CD's that Mike provided me and listen to them again. To withdraw from the Traffic Exchanges until I have developed my focus and then target simply those that will support my goals. To develop my website with focus on providing the type of information that I know.
I have been a career counsellor for 20 years and have done training for most of those years. I joined Toastmasters in 2002 and so I have skills and experience in that area as well. I have taken coaching courses, learned about personalities with Myers Briggs and Personality Dimensions (True Colors)and completed a University Degree in Social Development Studies. All of these abilities and interests involve people and yet I am spending more and more of my time not helping people, but insread reading email that I don't need to read and surfing on traffic exchanges to build credits for my webpages.
It is definitely time to refocus and get back to the basics.
I invite you to comment and check back to see how I'm doing. If you have any advice for me, if you've gone through this yourself, I'd sure like to hear from you.

Pathways To Success
In my search to make this world a better place, I recently rediscovered Irena Whitfield's Pathway To Success.
I was a subscriber many years ago and when she switched over to a new ezine, I didn't follow. That was a BIG mistake. I missed so much over the past 2-3 years as she has so much wonderful information to share. I have downloaded some back issues to read, so I may not come out for a while! *grin*
Irena has been doing online marketing for many years now and her site is filled with many wonderful free reports as well as links to her back issues. You can pick up a motivational calendar, links to free audios/mp3s, and much, much more.
Check it out now
Enjoy
